Best Time to Visit Qutub Minar/ Timing of Qutub Minar
Best season to visit the famous Qutub Minar is during winter and spring between the months of November to March. During winter the scene is totally surreal in this area. You will see lot of people cherishing the beauty of this ancient architecture symbol and enjoying the warm and cozy winter sun with their families and friends.
Qutub Minar also become one of the most famous spot for the birds lovers because during winters many migrating birds come here to take rest. Some of the common and famous species of migratory birds coming here are like Ruff, Common teal, Common Readshank, Bluethroat and Clamorous Reed Warbler are some of the most visible birds in this area during winters.
Qutub Minar is not a place to visit in summers specially during afternoon. If You ask any local about that one thing that they hate most about Delhi and they will tell you “Summers”. The summer during the month of May to July can be really painful in this part of India. Temperature during summers rise upto 45-46 0c and it is not a good time to visit Qutub Minar.
Anyways who would enjoy watching a Minar under the scorching sun where temperature rises upto 500C.
Apart from this lots of morning walkers also love to visit the Qutub Minar in the morning for their morning trail because of its historic yet natural trail . Apparently who would not enjoy walking in the ancient compound of Qutub Minar on the mist covered floor while the thick layer of fog would be covering it to the core.
PRO TIP: If you visit during winters best time will be during afternoon to evening. Here you can enjoy the sunset. Also it can be really cold out of nowhere. It is because Qutub Minar is located on the open area. So don’t forget to carry your winter’s clothes.
I hope that this post will help you decide you best time to visit Qutub Minar.
